Understanding the procedure, before deciding
The detailed guide for this procedure is available in Spanish. At your evaluation, Dr. Díaz explains in English what applies to your case: how it is done, what to realistically expect and what it does not do.
Risks and considerations
Every surgery carries general risks: bleeding, infection, altered healing, reactions to anesthesia and thrombosis. These and the risks specific to each technique are explained in writing in the informed consent before you decide.
In the breast region, asymmetries, nipple sensation changes, scar alterations and, when implants are involved, capsular contracture, implant rotation or displacement and the possibility of reoperation may occur.
What recovery looks like, stage by stage
First days. Relative rest, pain and swelling control, wound care and warning signs explained in writing. Direct contact with the team.
First weeks. Gradual return to light activities, prescribed garments, scheduled check-ups and serial photographs. Swelling changes day by day.
First months. The shape settles, scars mature and more demanding activities resume according to your progress. The final result is assessed after months, not before.
Timelines are individual and confirmed at your evaluation.
How we work together
Your surgery is a shared decision. You bring your goals, your history and your questions; the doctor brings the indication, the technique and the safety limits. That is why technique, volume and extent are defined by the surgeon at the evaluation and may differ from what you imagined. Surgery is not performed from a reference photograph or with the promise of a result identical to someone else’s.
Before talking about technique, I want to listen to what you want for yourself.
